Children from Mr O Connell's class were involved in fun filled, under water, thematic lessons.
The children's first job was to work in groups to come up with 10 necessities they would bring with them on a mission in a submarine. There were some very practical ideas that the children thought of bringing (diving gear, swimsuits etc) but also some interesting items(hair brushes, mirrors etc).
The submarine arrived to the class the following day and every child had the experience of entering into it. The children then went in their teams on a mission under water. They had to remember what they saw and write about their experience when they returned.
The next job that the children had to do, was to complete a news report from the submarine. They used a video camera to record each other and report on the findings under water!!
